Aquarian's Reflector Series drumheads employ a 2-ply hybrid construction to create a combination of superb articulation under heavy strokes and a deliberate attack that's also musical and warm at lower volumes. Each hybrid head features a black 10-mil bottom ply mated to a clear 7-mil top ply. Sweetwater drummers were quick to appreciate the plies' refraction and reflection of light that gives a "black mirrored" appearance — but these heads aren't just pretty! The 17-mil combined thickness of the plies and the extra density of the 10-mil black bottom ply result in a brighter, more durable drumhead that exhibits a more pronounced punch and greater longevity than standard drumheads.
