Saxophone, Flute, ClarinetAdam Plamann 

Adam graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in 1999 with a B.A. in Music, Jazz Studies emphasis.  While his main focus is saxophone, he also doubles on clarinet and flute.  

As a professional musician, Adam utilizes his skills as both teacher and performer. Since 2002, he has taught instrumental music (woodwinds, brass, and percussion) at St. John the Baptist Middle School, Howard, WI.  In September 2006, he accepted the newly established position of Band Director at St. Bernard Middle School, Green Bay, WI, creating and implementing a beginning band program for fifth through eighth grade students.  As well as having taught private music lessons to many more. 

With ten plus years teaching all ages, skill levels and multiple instruments, Adam seeks to help students discover their musical potential. His teaching philosophy centers around a supportive and engaging learning environment, exploring music through a personalized approach (tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and goals), developing a deeper understanding of music theory, fundamental instrument skills and the art of practicing. 

As a professional performer, Adam has had a wide range of experiences.

  •        Since 1999, he has had the opportunity to perform with the Fox Valley Symphony (supporting The Temptations, Julie Budd, and Lorin Hollander), the Green Bay Symphony (supporting John Harmon), local artists- Unity, Clambake, Janet Planet, Tom Washatka, The Blues Weasels, Big Mouth, Bay City Swing, The Groove Hogs (recording twice with Grammy award-winning producer Jim Gaines), and international artists- The Good Year Pimps, Tom “Bones” Malone of The Blues Brothers, Black Berry Smoke, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Cheap Trick, John Bishoff, Holland Zander, Cameron McGill and What Army, Danial and the Lion, Drivin and Cryin’, The Last Nites, and more.
  •       In 2006, Adam joined Cory Chisel & The Wandering Sons (RCA Recording Artist), recording and performing throughout the Midwest. With “The Sons,” he has had the opportunity to perform and record with Rick Nielsen and Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick, Augie Meyers of Bob Dylan and the Texas Tornadoes, and Devon Evans of Bob Marley and the Wailers.
  •       2010 - Present, Adam  joined Miles Nielsen & The Rusted Hearts. The “Rusted Hearts,” have allowed him to tour the US, Mexico and Europe. He is also part of The Nielsen Trust family band, composed of the Nielsen family including Rick Nielsen and Daxx Nielsen of Cheap Trick.
  •       He can also be found on many studio albums/recordings as well as NPR & PBS television spots.
